Maui Day 2

Day 2 breakfast, guess where!?!
Thats right! we had to try our McDonalds with a special Local's menu.

How can you come to Hawaii and not get Spam, Portuguese Sausages and eggs on rice for the "big breakfast"?

We stopped by a local store for some pineapples, all you can eat in Hawaii but hefty price to ship back home. We decided to try some.

They even sell you some prepared ones so you can enjoy in your car. That was also our choice of purchase. Sweet, not very acidic, thats the difference with great pineapples. Buyers We were driving by some open air fruit vendors and decided to take a look at some of their products. Oh my, these were truly giant avocados, bigger than a football.

We found a Vietnamese Place!

Bun Cha Gio Chao Tom- eggrolls, noodles, veggies, fried shrimp paste, sugar canes.

For lunch, we had Bo Luc Lac. Sweet onions, pan fried beef in special sauces and some pickled veggies. This dish was great.

Bun Ga Nuong - this is a lemongrass flavored chicken dish with rice and crushed peanuts on top. Also very good. I would say it was too salty though, it overpowered my taste buds for all other dishes.

Dinner was at Lahaina Fish Company. This was a great dish, especially the sauce and potatos, problem was the fish was dry and by the time I ate half the fish, I used up all the sauce.

Fish and chips. Simple, crispy, it was what you expected.
