Oh my gosh, before we got to
Genki Sushi, we stopped by a market and I had to get myself a Spam
Misubi.
Spicy tuna sushi.
Americanized dish?
Blow torched salmon? Too bad...if the fish was super fatty, this would have been real good. But that wasn't the case.
This one looks rather like one of those "special" dishes that they serve you in "
Omakase" dinners. Too bad it wasn't special
TORO or any high end fatty fish. It was dry, and not flavorful at all. Even the burnt rice did not do much.
Egg over rice. Sweet, soft.
Fried Squid is always on my list.
This fried salmon dish looked real good. It LOOKED real good...again....it was cold by the time I picked it up. Dry, cold, not tasty. What a waste.
Crispy roll, fried shrimp inside the roll, and semi fried tuna on top with a crispy shell and topped with house sauce and some green onions.
We cleaned off a few dishes that we stacked up for the record.
what to eat..what to eat?
And the line keeps moving, you just have to pick up what you want!
Oh yeah, Genki Sushi 元氣壽司, Anthony and I tried one of their chain restaurants back in HKG many years ago. Their food was nasty! Quality is not good AT ALL! You'll look like their logo after you eat there. LOL. They should change their name to 激氣壽司! You did such a good job taking the food pictures! They LOOKED way better than they actually tasted, huh? I bet your Spam Misubi tasted way better than the Genki Sushi! :P
ReplyDeleteThe Spam Misubi was indeed very good. Yup, Genki can do much better. But then again, it looks like a big chain that makes very generic type food for tourist type customers and non Sushi fanatics.
